Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. maple flavoring
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • confectioners sugar (optional)

Method

  • Beat eggs in small mixing bowl; gradually add sugar and vanilla.
  • Blend in melted butter; beat well.
  • Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture.
  • Add cocoa to batter.
  • Bake in 8-inch square pan at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. Makes 16 squares.
