Ingredients
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1/3 c. white Karo syrup
- 1 egg white
- 1 3/4 lb. confectioners sugar
- 1 tsp. flavoring
- food coloring
- sugar
Method
- Combine shortening, syrup, egg white, 1 pound confectioners sugar, flavoring and food coloring in mixer bowl; beat well.
- Beat in as much remaining confectioners sugar as needed to make a stiff consistency.
- Shape into balls; roll into sugar.
- Press into candy molds.
- Let dry for a day.
- May be frozen.
- Mint mixture can be divided for different flavoring and color.
