Ingredients
- 1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1 c. warm water
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. cooking oil
- 3 c. self-rising flour
Method
- Combine egg, sugar and oil.
- Add to yeast and water mixture. Add 3 cups self-rising flour or enough to make a soft dough. Cover and let rise 1 hour.
- Roll out dough and cut with biscuit cutter.
- Dip each roll in melted butter and fold into pocketbook rolls.
- Let rise 2 hours.
- Bake in hot oven at 450° for about 8 minutes or until done.
