Ingredients

  • 3 cups Room Temperature Water
  • 1 can Tomato Sauce (8 Ounces)
  • 1 package Powdered Chicken Or Beef Flavored Gravy Mix
  • 4 Tablespoons Chili Powder
  • 3 Tablespoons Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Marjoram Or Mexican Oregano
  • 1 leaf Bay Leaf
  • 2 dashes Tabasco (optional)

Method

  • Combine all ingredients in a medium sauce pain and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 3-5 minutes until thickened.
  • Note: I personally like my enchilada sauce with a thicker consistency. If you prefer a thinner sauce, replace the water with chicken or beef stock and omit the gravy powder.
