Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. chopped bell pepper
  • 2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans condensed beef broth
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 4 (15 oz.) cans dark red kidney beans, undrained
  • 4 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce

Method

  • In a 5-quart Dutch oven or saucepan, brown beef, onions and peppers; drain.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients and heat to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Makes 8 (1 1/2-cup) servings.
