Ingredients

  • 1 packages tofu
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 3 clove garlic
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 yellow pepper
  • 2 cup mushroom
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoy sin sauce
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1/2 cup hot water

Method

  • preheat oven to 400F Fahrenheit
  • Drain 16 oz tofu, set on cutting board.
  • Wrap it in paper towels to rid it of extra moisture
  • Cut rectangular pieces about 1 inch big, place on baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Flip tofu after 10 minutes.
  • This is to help dry up the tofu, that way it will absorb more flavor.
  • Dice up veggies (minus mushrooms) along with onion and garlic, and cook over medium heat.
  • Mix together vinegar, soy sauce, hoy sin sauce, and honey together.
  • Set aside.
  • Mix together water and cornstarch then add to mixture to thicken.
  • Put in tofu and mushrooms to cook and soften a bit, then mix in sauce mixture
  • Simmer for five minutes and you're done!
  • Easy to make :) Serve over white rice if desired
  • Oh and feel free to add a tablespoon or two of your favorite chili sauce!
  • I added some sriracha for an extra kick.
