Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. meat per person (steak, lamb, veal or pork)
- 2 tomatoes, quartered
- 1 onion, quartered or tiny whole onions
- 1 green pepper, cut into 1-inch strips
- 8 mushrooms, caps and stems separated
- salt and pepper to taste
- oregano
- 1 lemon (juice only)
Method
- Cube meat into 1-inch pieces. Wash and prepare vegetables. Skewer each one in order:
- green pepper, mushroom stem, onion, meat, tomato and continue until skewer is 3/4 full.
- Cap with mushroom.
- Lay in a flat pan and sprinkle with the rest of the ingredients.
- Broil 5 minutes on one side. Turn and broil 4 minutes on the other side.
- Can serve on rice pilaf.
