Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1/4 head coarsely chopped cabbage
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup
  • 6 to 8 slices American cheese

Method

  • Place ground beef in an 11-inch stove top pan or electric skillet, pressing to cover bottom of pan.
  • Spread vegetables over meat.
  • Pour soup over mixture and place cheese slices on top.
  • Add salt and pepper.
  • Cover skillet.
  • Start with medium-high heat. When mixture starts to steam, turn to low and cook 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Serve immediately.
