Ingredients
- 16 lb. cucumbers
- 1 gal. red vinegar
- 10 lb. sugar
- 1 box pickling spice
- 1/2 box alum
- salt (enough to float an egg)
Method
- Soak in brine water 14 days.
- Remove, slice and soak in alum water overnight. Rinse, cover with vinegar and let set 6 hours. Drain vinegar and discard.
