Ingredients
- 6 (1/2-inch thick) pork chops
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 c. apple juice
- 1 1/2 c. Minute rice
- 1 c. chunky applesauce
Method
- Dredge pork chops in flour, salt, pepper and cloves.
- Brown chops on both sides in butter in large skillet.
- Add 1/2 cup apple juice; cover and simmer until chops are tender, 15 to 20 minutes. Keep chops warm in serving platter.
- Bring remaining juice to boil; stir in rice.
- Cover and reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
- Stir in applesauce.
- Place chops on rice to serve.
- Makes 4 to 6 servings.
