Ingredients
- 1 lb. sweet sausage, sliced 1/2-inch
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 5 1/2 oz. au gratin potatoes
- 2 c. water
- 16 oz. can tomatoes, undrained
- 1 green pepper, sliced
Method
- In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, saute sausage until lightly browned on both sides.
- Add onion and saute until transparent. Add potatoes and sauce mix. Gradually stir in water.
- Bring to a boil and cover. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring often.
- Add tomatoes and green pepper. Mix well.
- Cover and simmer for 10 minutes longer.
- Yields 6 servings.
