Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sweet sausage, sliced 1/2-inch
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 5 1/2 oz. au gratin potatoes
  • 2 c. water
  • 16 oz. can tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 green pepper, sliced

Method

  • In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, saute sausage until lightly browned on both sides.
  • Add onion and saute until transparent. Add potatoes and sauce mix. Gradually stir in water.
  • Bring to a boil and cover. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring often.
  • Add tomatoes and green pepper. Mix well.
  • Cover and simmer for 10 minutes longer.
  • Yields 6 servings.
