Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. white wine (white sherry Muscatel)
  • 1 c. soy sauce
  • 1/4 c. brown or white sugar
  • 1 tsp. grated ginger
  • 1 clove chopped garlic or dash of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. barbecue seasoning/hot sauce/black pepper, etc.
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch, diluted in water
  • 10 wings, halved (tips removed)
  • 1/2 c. soy sauce
  • 5 Tbsp. white sugar
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame seed oil
  • 2 shallots or 4 green onions, minced

Method

  • To prepare Teriyaki Sauce, combine all ingredients in saucepan and heat.
  • Simmer until cornstarch is cooked.
  • Watch and stir constantly.
  • Add 1/4 cup white wine after sauce has cooled. Set aside.
