Ingredients
- 1 gal. green peppers
- 1 gal. green tomatoes
- 1 gal. ground cabbage (6 lb.)
- 6 lb. brown sugar
- 8 onions
- 3 bunches celery
- 1/2 box whole cloves
- 1/2 gal. vinegar
Method
- Grind all vegetables; add salt and let stand 1/2 hour.
- Then press dry with hands.
- Get out all the water possible.
- Mix with other ingredients and cook 1 hour or until thick as desired.
- A few red peppers add color and flavor.
