Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1/4 c. butter or oleo
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 2 to 3 c. cooked rice or noodles
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped or 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken soup

Method

  • Cook and stir hamburger and onion in butter in 10-inch skillet. Stir in flour, salt, garlic, pepper and mushrooms.
  • Cook, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in soup.
  • Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
  • Reduce heat.
  • Simmer uncovered 10 minutes. Stir in sour cream; heat through.
  • Serve over hot noodles or rice.
