Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 7/8 c. sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 c. sour cream
- 3 large peaches
Method
- Mix butter, flour, baking powder, salt and 2 tablespoons sugar with pastry cutter until like corn meal. Save 1 cup of this for topping.
- Pat the rest into the bottom of an 8-inch square pan. Place peaches, cut into slices, over crust. Sprinkle with 7/8 cup sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Bake 20 minutes at 400°. Mix egg yolks and sour cream.
- Pour over kuchen and bake 30 minutes more.
- Cool.
- Good warm or cold.
