Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced or crushed
  • 1 1/2 c. olive oil
  • 1 c. bread crumbs
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper (fresh ground)
  • 2 tsp. oregano, dried
  • 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 3 large steaks
  • 6 to 7 serving size steaks

Method

  • Soak garlic in oil for 1 hour or longer.
  • Preheat grill or broiler.
  • Combine bread crumbs with salt, pepper, oregano and cheese.
  • Pat steak dry with paper towels.
  • Stir garlic-oil mixture well.
  • Dip steak into garlic mixture.
  • Roll in seasoned bread crumbs.
  • Grill or broil to desired degree of doneness.
