Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper, Chopped
  • 1 Small Onion, Diced
  • 28 ounces, weight Diced Tomatoes With Juices
  • 15 ounces, fluid Tomato Sauce
  • 15 ounces, fluid Beef Broth
  • 1 Beef Bouillon Cube
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • Salt And Pepper
  • 1 cup Cooked White Rice

Method

  • In a large stockpot, brown ground beef. Toss in the green pepper and onion and sweat about 5 minutes. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, bouillion cube and brown sugar. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 40 minutes.
  • While simmering, cook white rice. Add to soup and let warm. Serve with a big chunk of crusty bread!
