Ingredients
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1 Green Bell Pepper, Chopped
- 1 Small Onion, Diced
- 28 ounces, weight Diced Tomatoes With Juices
- 15 ounces, fluid Tomato Sauce
- 15 ounces, fluid Beef Broth
- 1 Beef Bouillon Cube
- 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- Salt And Pepper
- 1 cup Cooked White Rice
Method
- In a large stockpot, brown ground beef. Toss in the green pepper and onion and sweat about 5 minutes. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, bouillion cube and brown sugar. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 40 minutes.
- While simmering, cook white rice. Add to soup and let warm. Serve with a big chunk of crusty bread!
