Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. pork, cut into pieces
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • cornstarch (for coating)
  • 2 green onions, cut into 1-inch lengths
  • 2 green peppers, cut into bite size pieces
  • 4 slices pineapple, drained and cut into pieces
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 dried hot red pepper, cut into round slices (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp. wine
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch, dissolved in 4 tsp. water
  • oil
  • Sweet and Sour Sauce

Method

  • Dip pieces of pork in beaten egg and roll over cornstarch.
  • Fry in oil over medium heat until light brown.
  • Drain.
  • Quickly saute garlic in 3 tablespoons oil, then add red peppers, green peppers, green onions, pineapple and pork.
  • Stir well.
  • Sprinkle with wine; stir in Sweet and Sour Sauce and bring to a boil.
  • While boiling, add dissolved cornstarch and stir well until mixture is thick and clear.
