Ingredients
- 1 qt. ripe tomatoes
- 1 qt. green tomatoes
- 6 small onions
- 2 sweet green peppers
- 3 sweet red peppers
- 1/3 c. pickling salt
- 2 c. vinegar
- 2 c. sugar
Method
- Chop green tomatoes and peppers.
- Add salt and let drain overnight.
- Peel and chop ripe tomatoes and onions.
- Combine all ingredients in heavy large pot.
- Simmer about 30 minutes, stirring often.
- Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal at once.
- Makes about 4 to 6 pints.
