Ingredients
- 1 gal. fresh peas
- 1 small hot pepper
- 1 Tbsp. bacon drippings
- water
Method
- Pick peas (black-eyes, crowders, purple hulls or other). Shell promptly, then rinse well.
- Place in saucepan with water to cover along with other ingredients.
- Simmer about 1 hour, stirring often.
- (Add water as needed.)
