Ingredients

  • 6 Shiitake mushrooms
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 thumb's worth Ginger
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Miso
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Mirin
  • 1 tbsp Sake
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Doubanjiang (optional)

Method

  • Mince the shiitake, garlic, and ginger.
  • Mix together all of the ingredients.
  • Heat some vegetable and sesame oil in a frying pan, and cook the Step 1 ingredients.
  • Add the combined Step 2 ingredients to the frying pan.
  • Once the alcohol has cooked off, it's complete.
  • I made Shiitake Mushroom Miso Fried Udon.
  • I used half of the powdered sauce included with the fried udon and mixed in the shiitake mushroom miso.
  • A very simple dish.
