Ingredients
- 1 cabbage
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. oil
- 2 medium onions
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 4 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. vinegar
Method
- Shred cabbage. Slice onions. Place on top of cabbage. Sprinkle with 2 cups sugar. Put oil, vinegar, dry mustard, celery seed, salt and 4 teaspoons sugar in pan; bring to a boil. Pour over cabbage. Cover with lid or foil to steam. Allow to cool and refrigerate 4 hours before serving.
