Ingredients
- 4 squash or 10 pods okra
- 1 c. meal
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- salt to taste
- 3 Tbsp. Crisco oil
Method
- Cut squash or okra in slices.
- Mix meal, flour and salt.
- Pour on top of okra or squash and batter.
- Heat oil in pan, then add battered squash or okra.
- Fry on medium-low until brown.
