Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 5 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 2 sticks butter or margarine
- 3 c. powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 3 pkg. premelted chocolate
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Bake cake mix according to directions in a jelly roll size pan, or a cookie sheet with 1-inch sides.
- Cook flour and milk until thick.
- Let cool.
- Combine sugar, Crisco and 1 stick of butter.
- Cream well with mixer.
- Add to cooled mixture.
- Mix until creamy.
- Spread on slightly warm cake.
- Mix other stick of butter with remaining ingredients.
- Spread on cooled cake and add chopped nuts, if desired.
