- 1/2 c. shoyu
- 1/4 c. dark or light sesame oil
- 1/3 c. honey
- 1 Tbsp. white sugar
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 3 thumb-sized pieces fresh ginger, peeled and grated or mashed
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 c. mirin
- 1 Tbsp. ground toasted sesame seed
- 1/4 c. green onion, minced
Method
- This marinade is enough for about 5 pounds short ribs or 6 pounds sliced rib eye steak.
- Marinate at least 8 hours or overnight, turning meat occasionally.
