Ingredients

  • 2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 2 tsp. paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sweet basil leaves
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. white pepper
  • 8 slices bacon, diced
  • 1 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 c. celery, chopped
  • 1 c. green pepper, chopped
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 2 lb. meat
  • 1 c. tomato juice
  • 1/2 c. evaporated milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. cracker crumbs

Method

  • Fry bacon, onion, celery, green pepper and bay leaves until brown.
  • Add remaining ingredients and shape meat loaf.
  • Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
