Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons Flax Seed Meal
  • 4 Tablespoons Water
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar, Firmly Packed
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 3 Tablespoons Brewers Yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 cups Oats
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix the flax seed meal and the water and let sit for 3-5 minutes. Combine butter and sugars in a large mixing bowl and beat well. Add eggs, and beat more. Add flax seed meal and vanilla and beat well.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, brewer's yeast, baking soda and salt. Slowly add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats and chocolate chips. Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop dough on a cookie sheet. Bake 12 minutes and let sit on the cookie sheet a couple minutes before transferring to a wire rack for cooling.
