Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 12 teaspoon salt (if using unsalted butter)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 cup chunky peanut butter
  • 2 cups sifted flour (I have never sifted it!)

Method

  • Combine butter, soda, and peanut butter.
  • Mix well.
  • Add granulated sugar, then brown sugar and mix well.
  • Add beaten eggs, mixing well.
  • Add flour and blend.
  • Take 1 tsp of dough and roll in a ball.

  • Press cookies lightly with fork to flatten.

  • Bake at 325 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
