Ingredients
- 2 1/2 lb. Texas pears
- 4 c. sugar
- 2 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. red hots
- 3-inch stick cinnamon
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. red food coloring
- 2/3 c. vinegar (add after pears are tender)
- a few cloves (added if you like)
Method
- Mix all together in a pot, then pour into jars.
- When they start to turn pink, they are ready.
