Ingredients
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 c. hot water
- 1/2 c. butter Crisco
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. cold water
- 7 to 8 c. flour
Method
- Dissolve yeast in warm water, let stand.
- Stir together hot water, Crisco, salt, sugar and eggs.
- Add cold water.
- Add yeast dissolved in water.
- Add flour, mix well.
- Place on floured board and knead.
- Put in greased bowl and set in refrigerator for several hours or overnight.
- Break off and make biscuits.
- Place in greased pans.
- Makes about 4 dozen.
- Let rise about 2 hours. Bake for 25 minutes at 350°.
