Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. sliced ham or 1 can luncheon meat
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 4 to 6 Irish potatoes
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. catsup
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. cheese, grated
  • 1 c. sweet milk
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

Method

  • Grease a 2-quart casserole dish.
  • Put ham in bottom of dish. Top with onion and potatoes, then half of the flour, salt, pepper and cheese.
  • Repeat all ingredients.
  • Heat milk with butter and rest of flour and pour over all.
  • Bake, covered, at 350° for 40 minutes, then 30 minutes, uncovered, with catsup.
  • Yields 4 to 6 servings.
