Ingredients
- 2 lb. squash
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 2 c. grated cheese
- 1 1/2 c. cracker crumbs
- 1 stick margarine, melted
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. sugar
Method
- Cook pared squash and onion in enough water to cover for 8 to 15 minutes.
- When tender, drain and mash.
- Add other ingredients and mix thoroughly.
- Bake in long, buttered casserole for 1 hour at 300°.
- Serves 8.
