Ingredients

  • 2 c. crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. oleo
  • 1/3 c. coarsely chopped nuts
  • 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 8 oz. carton whipped topping
  • 6 oz. box strawberry Jell-O
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 2 (10 oz.) boxes frozen strawberries

Method

  • Mix pretzels (not too finely crushed), sugar, oleo and pecans. Press lightly into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Bake 10 minutes at 350°.
  • Cool.
  • Combine cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and whipped topping.
  • Spread on top of first layer.
  • Dissolve jello in boiling water.
  • Add frozen strawberries.
  • When partially congealed, put on top of second layer.
  • Refrigerate several hours.
