Ingredients

  • 170 grams Pork shoulder or pork belly
  • 2 tbsp Sugar (I used brown sugar)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 piece Ginger
  • 1 tsp Sake
  • 1 dash Salt
  • 5 Shishito peppers
  • 1 Canola oil

Method

  • Rub finely chopped ginger and sake into the pork.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add sugar.
  • (I use brown sugar, so it's brown.)
  • Spread meat on the sugar and heat on medium.
  • Flip once one side becomes juicy and brown.
  • Add shishito peppers.
  • Once both sides are browned, quickly pour soy sauce in circular motion.
  • Put heat on high and shake the pan to mix everything together.
