Ingredients

  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can artichoke hearts, quartered or whole (NOT marinated!!)
  • 3 eggs
  • 34 cup milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon pepper
  • 12 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Method

  • Combine eggs and milk in a bowl and mix.
  • Combine breadcrumbs and seasonings in a plate or ziploc bag, however you prefer.
  • Drain artichoke hearts.
  • Dip in egg/milk wash.
  • Coat in breadcrumbs mix.
  • Repeat egg/milk wash & then breadcrumbs.
  • Fry in hot oil either in skillet or deep fryer for 3-5 minutes.
  • Remember they continue to brown after you take them out of the oil.
  • These are better slightly overdone (darker brown)!
