Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2/3 c. flour
- 4 c. milk
- 2 cans chicken broth
- 1/2 Tbsp. hot pepper sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp. white pepper
- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
- 1 lb. Velveeta cheese
Method
- Melt butter in large pan.
- Add chopped onion; cook until tender.
- Add flour; whisk.
- Cook 1 minute on low heat, stirring. Add milk and chicken broth; cook on medium heat, stirring until thickened.
- Add cheese and seasonings, stirring until cheese has melted.
- Add broccoli; reduce heat and cook until broccoli is tender (about 30 minutes).
- Do not boil.
