Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. margarine
  • 4 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2-1/2 c. crushed pretzels (Not too fine. Don't use thin pretzels.)
  • 1 large strawberry Jell-O
  • 2 c. boiling Water
  • 3 c. chilled strawberries (chopped while partly frozen)
  • 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 small carton Cool Whip

Method

  • Cream margarine with sugar.
  • Mix with Pretzels.
  • Pat into buttered 9 x 13 baking dish.
  • Bake 10 minutes at 350°.
  • Cool completely on wire rack.
  • Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water.
  • Add strawberries.
  • Cool completely.
  • Beat cream cheese and sugar.
  • Fold in whipped topping.
  • Spread over cooled crust.
  • When Jell-O begins to set, pour over top of cream cheese mixture.
  • Refrigerate until firm (overnight).
