Ingredients
- 2 c. light brown sugar
- 1/2 c. Karo syrup
- 2 sticks butter
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 pinch cream of tartar
- dash of salt
- 8 qt. popped popcorn
Method
- Mix sugar, syrup and butter.
- Bring to a rolling boil. Stirring constantly, cook 5 minutes more.
- Add baking soda and cream of tartar.
- Pour and mix over popcorn in a large soup pot. After mixed well, place in a large roaster pan, cookie sheet or shallow pan and bake in 200° oven for 1 hour.
- Pour on waxed paper and separate to cool.
- Store in sealed Tupperware to keep crisp.
